9S: Hey, Pod. Give me a rundown on what happened while I was resting.
Pod 153: Affirmative. Relevant data concerns the massive facility you just accessed. It appears to be machine-related in origin, though further details are unknown. Additionally, the large structural units launched from the facility have been detected in multiple areas.
9S: Large structural units?
Pod 153: Said units were marked as goals earlier. They are believed to be the so-called “resource-recovery units”.
9S: What do these units do?
Pod 153: Unknown.
9S: Where’s A2?
Pod 153: Unit A2’s position and current status are unknown.
9S: All right. Mark the positions of those units on my map, will you?
[As 9S heads towards the Forest Kingdom.]
Pod 153: Proposal: Unit 9S should state his intentions.
9S: I’m going to wipe out the machines.
Pod 153: With the Bunker destroyed, previous orders to YoRHa units would be suspended. Proposal: Rendezvous with Resistance forces and confirm chain of command.
9S: I don’t care about chain of command. I have one goal now. I’m going to kill every last machine. And then... I’m going to kill A2.
[9S enters the Forest Kingdom.]

Pod 153: Affirmative. Said unit appears to be delivering something to the giant facility. Hypothesis: This facility may be designed to transport some kind of resource.
9S: What’s the resource it’s transporting?
Pod 153: Unknown.
9S: For what purpose?
Pod 153: Unknown.
[As 9S travels through the Forest Kingdom, he encounters many of the forest machines.]
Machine: Revenge for our king!
Machine: Accursed humans!
Machine: My k-k-kiiing... My king...
Machine: Reeveng-ge... Revenge...
[The forest seems to become foggier as he approaches the unit.]
9S: Huh? Fog?
Pod 153: Analysis: The fog is actually steam emitted by a large enemy structural unit.
9S: Steam? For what purpose?
Pod 153: Unknown.
[As 9S travels through the forest, he encounters more of the forest machines.]
Machine: I’ll... I’ll kill you!

[Once 9S is near the Resource Recovery Unit, it lights up and slots open on its side.]

[At the entrance, there is strange writing above the lift.]
